was looking at screenshots of this on gamespot last night, looks very similar to rome total in gfx, slightly polished here and there - but I think the biggest addition to this is the new combat system, where units block / parry and having finishing moves and stuff, so no more standing there playing an attack animation whilst generally facing the direction of the enemy - its going to be nice to see alot of mini fights going on :)

this game looks pretty good. i'll dl the demo when it comes out. I have shogun total war and rome and i;ve enjoyed both thoroughly.

Ahh Rome Total war was simply amazing, at the time being i was all hyped up about Roman Empire battles becuase i had kust seen Gladiator for the first time, no i saw Kingdom of Heaven and im hyped up about some crusader battles lmfao

That's totally kick ass to play the hordes of Kublai Khan laying siege to Vienna!

Or to play Shogun again with the souped up combat engine.

The burning pigs in R:TW were used to scare off elephants...not sure tho if i like the medieval theme better then ancient rome


And tbh, i was kinda dissapointed with age of empire 3, and i hope that MS learns from it and releases something worthy of succeeding The Sheer Brilliance called AOE2.
