Os Question

IM BUILDING A NEW SYSTEM AND IM THINKING OF A NEW OS
WIN ME? WIN XP? WIN 98SE?

WHICH ONE I HAVE HEARD ALOT OF BAD AND GOOD FOR ALL
I ALSO LOVE PLAYING GAMES SO I WANT SOMETHING COMPATABLE WITH MY GAMING HABIT

Welcome to the fourms. I've heard alot of bad things about winME, I think windows 98 is the most stable updated os, although im running win XP and i have nto had any problems with it and i also am a gamer. Windows 2000 is good also.

i've read a ton of stuff on all the os that are out are. there's good and bad reviews about every one of them. i don't know about xp, it's too new and there aren't many reviews outthere. ME has a lot of reported probs but i know a lot of people that swear by it. 98 and 98se are prob the most stable and best reviewed os to date. it could turn out to be hit and miss thing with your hard/software. good luck with it

I ran Quake, Unreal Tournament, Max Payne and a few flight sim games... on both 98SE and ME

both were equally stable but I noticed a very small improvement with running on ME...
