I currently have this heatsink/fan. As of now it does not fit onto my Foxconn mobo. I wanted know if there was some way of altering it to be used in a watercooled system. I wanted to make one from "scratch".

If its not possible, what would be the best way to start my own wc'd system?

I used to be a member here but I think it was closed due to inactivity. :bang head

If that heatsink doesn't fit, just return it and buy a waterblock.

Waterblocks and heatsinks have very different functional design and trying to re-engineer one to do what the other is design for is horribly inefficient. Even the simplest waterblock design would outperform a heatsink turned into a waterblock.

If you have the tools to make your own waterblock it would cost less to make a block from raw materials than it would to modify a heatsink.
