Hi, looking at a cheap build to last until intels and amd's next gen processors. Are there any motherboards (intel chipset or not) which will support conroes etc currently available? Dropping a cel D into something like this would be an inexpensive processor to use until something a bit better surfaces.....but would i get any decent performance from a heavily oc'ed cel D (4ghz+)?

Yep. Celeron D is a very adequate CPU when overclocked.

Do you need a motherboard with PCI-E and DDR2 or just AGP and DDR, or PCI-E and DDR?

I recomend you to wait, as noone knows for sure what chipset, will be required by Conroe cpus. You can be sure that i945x/955x will not work with Conroe. I hope i975x will work with Conroe...
