using tv card to "broadcast" video across lan?

i am sure i am not the only person to ask about something like this in the world (as i know it is possible with linux, however, my tv tuner is not supported in linux) but i was curious if anybody knew of any software that could be used to broadcast the tv signal in any way, shape or form to my other computers on my network. as an example, i would like to be able to watch tv on any computer that i connected to my lan (either thru streaming video or something). does anybody know of any such program off hand?

isnt that what 'videolan' is used for? im sure that can directly stream tv accross networks.

It dosen't work with linux, but ATI had a deal that would let you do that if you had an ATI card at the other end.
