I currently have an aquaxtreme 50z, while it was an excellent pump it was to loud for me so i bought an mcp350 which is sopposed to be silent or very close to it.

the pump that I'm not going to be using any more has 1/2 barbs that i stretched my tubing over, will the 7/16 tubing work with the 3/8 barbs?

I know i definitely will have to use worm clamps but is it still to big.

There was a technique where putting a 3/8" ID Tube a thin wall would then equal out to a 1/2" OD size. You can probably slide 7/16" ID over that setup and clamp it down really tight.

should work, 3/8= 6/16. only 1/16 differance. with clamps, you should be fine. or you could just mod the 350 to 1/2 ID like the MCP655 has or w/e. People do that sometimes.
