some prog info

i don't know an awful lot about prog, esp DOS. i've crashed win98 three or four times by trying new stuff and am getting tired of reinstalling all the time. i've found some good sites about tweaking win but nothing on DOS. i also can't find any books about DOS anywhere either. thanks, hope you can help.

Hmm...my answer would be to switch to win2k or winxp. Dos doesn't exist in those operating systems. At least in win2k it doesnt. I would assume the same for winxp.

i've not done alot of background on win2k. i'll be sure to check it out. thanks krusty :) from what i've heard about xp, i may want to avoid that one. too new w/ too many bugs in it yet.
