View Full Version : w00t !!!!
Yeeeehaaaa!
Just got home from work, and checked the stats....we've gained on O/C Au for the last 6 (count 'em six) updates!!
w00t !!!:D :D
Despite having both boxes folding all day while I was at work, I got passed by a couple of the new members, that have been banging out the WU's like mad. We got some really good new members guys, and they've gotten us back within eyeshot of the lead.
I'm kinda bummed, as this morning, I sat right at 50th on the team (I'm now at 52...:( )...but we've picked up some serious steam over the last day+.....:)
My intel rig finished a "villin" shortly after the last update, and the AMD is about to finish another..... ;)
foldfoldfoldfoldfoldfoldfoldfoldfoldfoldfold...... ...
Keep up the great work gang, we're gaining!!!

right on!
i am about to complete 2 villians from my 333mhz boxes (they work amazingly for what they are...).
and my XP 1800 box is back online, and will probably produce like 50 WU's the next time i check :) (the xp's really crank em out fast...). i hope to have my 800 tbird up this weekend, but i still need some help setting up internet sharing on it. either way, i think we can take them back.
Dang you all with a perminent connection, I get online when i get home and before school to update the clients and up/down the WUs. I could be so much more productive if I had a perm connection. Hey cowanrg, have you noticed that we keep playing leap frog?

hehe, yeah :-)
dude, if you dont have a steady connection, start like 4-5 clients, and let them go, and when they all finish, just upload the work from them....
I havent had any luck getting more than 2 running on a machine at one time. I am running the Win and console clients consecutively.

You need the text only version. Just place make a directory for each client that you want to run and paste the Text Only version into each folder. I'm not sure if you still have to do it but I make a shortcut with the -local flag and run the clients from the shortcut.
When using the text based client be sure to shut it down once you configure it and restart to get your client ID#.
I am using the normal client and after that is started running the console and they live together happily. I tried running multiple console clients but it would bomb as soon as the 2nd one started.

As long as you use the -local flag like ploaf said, it should work fine. I ran a couple different instances on mine before I switched to the graphical version.
fold on!
as of the last update, we're only about 300 wu's behind!!

We've bypassed OCAU in WU's, but are a bit behind in scores... Very close at the moment :D :D :D
yup I tried it last night and that seemed to work. Cool now I think if I run 3 clients at a time they should just be finishing when i get home from school. Fold on!

We're keeping it tight... I recruited a new member, look for FSRslug on the stats pages pretty soon. Hopefully newegg will RMA my Shuttle board soon so I can get my Duron back.... but anyway, Fold On!
