Im new to overclocking what are the settings that I need to put in my Bios if I want to make my CPU go say 800mhz or more? I have a Slot1 Cpu and an Abit BX6v2 Motherboard any help would be great ,because I really dont want to burn up the CPU or board
Thanks,
Tom
I'd go into the SoftMenu part of the BIOS and change the FSB to say 112 MHz and see what happens. That shoulld give you about 784 or so. Your CPU will probably go higher than that, but you'll start needing better cooling and maybe a slight booast in voltage. Make sure the speed error check in the BIOS is set to "disable".

Sabre33,
Increase your FSB to 150 and increase your Vcore about Three notches up from default.
Edit** Nahh.. I was just kidding! :o :p  :D :)
