Does anyone know the actuall difference between these two?
Is the ti500 just an overclocked version?
Do you think I could get almos as high performance if I were to overclock a ti200 to the 500 level?
Thank you ^_^

IF!!!! you could get the card that high. but i highly dought that! the Ti 200 is clocked slower than a geforce3 and the Ti500 is clocked higher than the Geforce3 so i think the ram on the Ti200 may hold you back unless you do a volatge mod and stick HUGE heatsinks on the sucker (VERY NOT RECOMENDED)

As far up to the Ti500? Ahhh no. But you could most likely get up to a normal geforce3. Maybe a tiny bit higher but not much. It's a great card and not that expensive. Around $170 or so. At that price i think it's the best bang for your buck.

Ahhh, thank you for the info, I had no idea that two two cards were so far apart. I guess thats why the ti500 costs almost double. ;p Well If I can get a job soon this will be the card for me!
After my "unfortunate" little accident with my Geforce2M(sniff ;_;) I need something else, I am currently using this crappy 8mb Nvidia Vant LT, I have never even heard of this card, a friend let me have it for $5.

lol can i see some 3dMark results from that bad boy?(if it'll even run). Good luck on the card hunt i've heard great results from owners of the card.

Ti 200 is the same GF3 core, higher yield, clocked at 175Mhz. Memory is clocked at 200MHz DDR or 400MHz

Ti500 is a low yield, sweet production core clocked at 240MHz with memory clocked at 250MHz DDR or 500MHz.

I picked up a PNY Technologies Ti500 at the begining of the week. So far I've had it up to 265/550. Takin' it easy on overclocking until I use the card for a while. It's a smokin' card. Runs everything I've thrown at it so far without a hitch.
