does it beap? If ram is incompatable, it'll usually beap. If no beap, it may be a power supply issue. Waht PSU do you have running that monster.
i have an antec p180 case that has no speaker for the motherboard. i'll try to see if i can mod one on. hopefully incompatibility is not the case.
i also have some no name 500 watt psu.
anyone with the same mobo and ram have any ideas?

What's the +12V amp rating?
To run what you have, you should have at lease 28A on the +12V rail. The 7800GT can take up to 180W (on very max load) of the +12V rail (around 110W idle). 180W is 15 amp (180W/12V) of the 12V rail just to the 7800GT. The CPU may take 115W max of the 12V rail. That's a total max is about 25A.
A 33 plus amp on +12V rail would be ideal. Single rail +12V is best but if you can not afford it, the dual +12V are cheaper.

your mb has an updated bios for the cpu right?
you're sure your mb isn't dead right? cuz my other one died..

So neither stick will boot? Give your CMOS a clear using the jumper on the board and try again. You can also try holding the insert key on your keyboard if is a PS2 kind
yea my motherboard is fine. when i put my old pqi turbo mem in it works fine. i think the motherboard won't run it. i tried resetting the cmos and holding the insert key, but nothing. kinda sad :(. i'll keep trying for 1 more day, if nothing, i'll just get an dfi sli-dr. don't wanna spend the extra $$ on it tho.

tried it. nothing. thanks for the help guys, but it looks like this board doesn't want to post with this ram. i have the latest bios and chipset drivers for this board, but nothing. i'll try a little more, but i might just get another board.
