Decided to go with this OCZ kit after reading as many threads as I could .

Any suggestions on cooling before I place my order? Or do the stock heatspreaders do OK.

Stock heatspreaders are great, sometimes you can even run well without them.

I'd recommend trying to see if you can get a fan near them or blowing in their direction. Usually if you have something like a XP-120 or SI-120, and the 120mm fan blowing downwards, that should be enough to cool most ram.

mine are cold to the touch when clocked at 2.8v, and 265mhz, at 3-4-3-8. no active cooling required at all

yah, good choice, i am going to be getting those same ones...

as for the cooling, just try to zip-tie a fan in place above them or something like that...
