Build raid from single ??

I just had a thought. its rare when i do. If i load the windows on ONE drive then load all the drivers and what not can i just build the mirror drive from a utility ??

Yes but software based raid is not good. It puts more stress on the CPU which will slow things down. Get a raid card and use its utility to mirror your drives.

If your first drive was connected to your RAID controller when you installed Windows, then yes, you should be able to.
