I ordered a 1000e from enpc only to be told they were out of them a day later. so after some looking around and a few phone calls to make sure I get a cdo steping the folks at www.star-components.com were more than helpful and now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my cpu will do the 133mhz dance for me.

I just got a 1000E cD0 from these people about 2 days ago and it was a SL5QV chip. I've run it in my old BH6 with an Abit slotket3 and I've had it up to 1333 mhz, but the board itself isn't too stable at that speed due to the lack of a 1/4 pci divider. It would run prime95 with no problems at that speed and will run the cpu and bandwidth benches in sandra, but gives errors/lockups on anything that is accessing the hard drive a lot. I had my wife order a Soyo 6BA+100 because I've heard that they are good boards and I love the performance and stability of the good old BX chipset.

Before I ordered from them, I checked their ratings at resellerratings.com and they were listed as a little lower than middle of the pack, but they had only 2 people rating them. I had no problem ordering or receiving my order. The only thing that they didn't do was send any email showing that it had shipped and no tracking number.

I'm here today at default voltage at 1333, the chip is a Malay sl5qv and I've not tested anything yet, but I'll be doing that as the day goes on. I'll be sure to update. using a pep66t with a ys tech 30 cfm at 35 idle with case open.

I'm like the kid in the candy store!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least you're seeing an idle temp that's about like mine then... I think mine is kinda high at load (45/46C). Wish you the best! These chips are pretty damn good for not being Tualatins!
