What could be killing my ram?

ok so friends computer keeps booting him out of BF2 and WoW. He might get 5 mins of play in BF2 and 15 mins in WoW. I figured it was the ram so i ran Prime 95 (lots of ram tested) failed in 6 mins 3 times. ok time to test each stick.(3x 512) put one in, computer wont boot, 2nd same thing, 3rd computer boots and runs prime 1hr problem free. (All ram was put in 1st slot)

ok so off to comp shop to get new 512 stick. Get it put it in total of 1024 now (2x512) Computer workes great for about a week now he tells me hes having the same problem again just like before. could somthing be killing the ram? Hes had the side off his computer for a few months now so i don think heat is a problem. any input would be appreciated.

dobtful that something is "killing" the ram, could it be possible that your overvolting it in the bios?

Maybe What gets me as odd is it worked fine for a year then this just started happing. Will look into that though

maybe ur slots on your motherboard are somehow giving to much power, or shocking it?
