The BOINC database went down around noon. It freaked out because it was in an inconsistent state. When this happens it automatically shuts down and goes through a lengthy recovery process. After that we slowly brought the project back on line. This has been happening more frequently due to increasing load on the project. We are planning to upgrade the MySQL version perhaps later this week.
