Possible to slipstream software, not just SPs?

Hi -

After getting really sick of formatting and reinstalling XP the way I like it (I do it to each of my machines ~every 6 months), I started looking into slipstreaming.

Is it possible to slipstream my desired software directly into my Windows install, like you would a service pack? Or would my best bet be to just make an image of my harddrive just after install, and copy that onto my other harddrives?

Just install everything you like and make a ghost image.
