right, i have:

166 mhz P1 Intel
90 EDO RAM.

Basically crap! Is there anyway i can clock my cpu? I have changed the jumpers and its now running 198mhz but i dont know what to do, i am new to all this, can anyone help?

what do u need help with exactly? be more specific and we could help u. basicall u overclocked it from 166 to 198mhz! not a bad start!! just make sure ur temps dont get too high. if u wanna go faster then change the fsb speed more or the multiplier more.

how do i change the FSB speed and multiplier? Sorry im new to this so. Please if you could help i would be very greatful, its a packard bell, please gimme some advice on how to chgange the FSB etc and where to look.

ur front side bus (fsb) is what connects the cpu and memory together. the multiplier is the thing that multiplies ur FSB because ur cpu is a lot faster. on ur 166mhz cpu ur fsb speed was 66 and the multiplier was 2.5. now when u overclocked the 166 to 186 you changed the multiplier to 3 with gave u 198 (3*66). if you wanna go faster then change ur fsb speed from 66mhz to 75mhz and u will be at 225Mhz!!!! if u dont understand what i mean then just reply to this post again and me or someone else will help u. good luck
