I am currently in the process of adding WC to my system a AMD 3500+ DFI SLI-DR MOBO, 2gHz of Corsair, Gainward 6800GT and 150 Raptor (to be bought). I don't want to upgrade as i think it would be a waste of time and money, so watercooling is the way to go. I currently have Zalmens on my CPU and GFX card, which are giving me good temps and far better than my stock cooling (about 13degrees less) But that frigger of a NF4 passive fan is annoying me serious!

OK so I have seen it before somewhere. It is a chipset block that has a flat extension on it to allow it to cool the chipset on a DFI board. (The chipset is under the gfx card) I have searched for it and on the forums but no joy.

Do you guys/girls know if where I could get my sweaty hands on this?

Thanks

Holy Christ, 420 euros......
I think you should have gone with the 12v pump....

I doubt it. Put in a DFI Lanparty NF4 SLi-DR Expert in my brothers computer and the chipset is in the exact same spot.

JT

Yes the chipset is in the same spot but the PCI-E Slot has been moved up one slot. Unlike the other lanpartys the Video card would not be right over the chipset.

Edit: just checked out swiftechs site and shows that the Expert is compatible with that block Link

You can do without one, its a waste of money IMO if you are tight in space.

Your prob right, but I'm going to take out all HD bays and 3 1/2 bays so hopefully the room will not be important. Any opinions on the reservoir situation?

is it really worth wc the chipset? my chipset opn air hit max 35-37 wced will be like 25-30 max. but i heard u wont get many extra mzh like 2-3 more

its notabout OC its about getting rid of that anoying chipset fan! its the noisest and most anyoying fan ever invented
