View Full Version : I would like you all to welcome...
. . The newest member to the 4gHz club. While yes its an old group I finally made it. My sig is now wrong. I have a p5gd1 and a 640 Intel. got it on stock volts at 4gHz and stock cooling. I just BARELY made it and am now testing for stability. My RAM is crap so I slowed the timings down and squeeeeeezed in at 4.0. . . OK Im tickled have a party for me. Other than RAM, any good tweeks? And how to I make use of the so called Lock Free thing. I have a 640. Is this a proc that will allow this or is it limited to the 3.4gHz chips??

PS: wooooooooooo i was shocked to see this hit 4.0 on stock all.
:welcome: Congrats
Let's see some pics.
Im only @ 2.8 :p J/K
I managed to detune the ram abit and so far after about 3 hours im still prime95 stable(so far). . temps arent too horrible. max at 50C. . I think a good cooler and a better vented case should help out nicely. Some better RAM to give me a bit more room. Im still at stock voltage so this puppy might play a bit. :D

Well, Im not primie95 stable at 4.0. Can boot to windows all day but craps out after about 2 hours of prim95. I am not sure as to the exact max voltage I can run on this but for now im at 3.92GhZ stable at 1.425V.

If your temps are alright, which they seem to be, try upping the voltage to 1.45 and see if that helps.
