A litle while a go I placed the following question:
<I'm trying to fit an refrigerator cooling system to my CPU: the idea is to replace the internal coil for a copper block in wich the freon will flow (like a water block but for freon). The main problem is of course condensation, in two places: the block and pipes. The pipes is easy, some isolation is easy to find. But the block isnt so easy.
I heard of materials for peltiers...but the problem I never worked with them and peltiers are not for sale in portugal(i think).
I'm thinking of isolating the socket, make a copper block with the exact size for the cpu, and keep it inside of a PVC box. will it work? Anyone got an idea? I'm open to sugestions.>
With the advises I got, decided to change my plans:
To build a sealed case inside I would place the refigerator cooling coil, the motherboard, cards and hard drive.
All open drives (CD, floppy, etc) would be placed outside of this case.
I know it causes some practical problems, like adding a new card will be hard work but it is the best way to cool everything at the same time.
I choose to work with glass over plexiglass (its F.... expensive in portugal).
But what I came to ask you is for help to build it: I've seen sites about case moddifications but none about building one from scratch. Do you know where I can fetch this information?
