just what the title says i need 2x1gb that will run above 300htt. The ram i have now is 2 weeks old but doesnt want to budge past 295htt. no matter what timings or voltage. so i need to get rid of this stuff and get something better! Any recommendations?

crucial ballistix.
be warned, they die every 3 months - unless something has changed

Crucial Ballistix have gone past 300HTT. What about the OCZ PC4000 EB? Do those hit 300HTT too?

ok i am finding something weird about the memory that i have. i set the htt to 300 memory to 3,4,4,7 2.8volts with a 266 divider in the bios. the system will lock up right after it posts. but if i use the same timings and volts but put the divider to 333mhz in bios it will boot to windows but windows says it will now close due to an error. so it seems that the memory doesnt like high speeds with a low divider and high htt. any ideas? should i just sell this stuff and get something better?

Are you sure that the memory controller on your Opteron can run 300+ HTT?

well i am not sure. i need some more ram to find out i guess. I would hope this opty would do more than 2630mhz! with the settings that i am at now the ram runs at 240mhz 3,3,3,7 2.8v 292x9 completly stable. but everytime i try to go higer it wont go. i can put the ram on the slowest divider in the bios(200mhz) with 3,4,4,8 htt of 300 and the system hangs after post. i can go back and the only thing i change is the divider which i put on 333mhz and the system will boot to windows but its not stable.

Well, any of the Gskill, Mushkin or OCZ 1GB PC4000 (DDR 500) sticks will run 265+ MHz. On the 333MHz divider you would only be running them at 250MHz when the HTT is set to 300. So I guess you have your pick. The only sticks that really have chance of hitting 300MHz runnning 1:1 would be the Crucial Ballistix mentioned earlier.
I run the G-Skill 4400 Le at 300 1 to 1 One gig kit ..Can even run 315 1 to 1

I am not asking for the ram to run 300htt 1:1. it needs to run 300htt on a divider if need be. 1:1 would be nice but i dunno
