Help: Ultra, OCZ or Antec?

Need some advice here....

Trying to decide between a few psu's.

1. Ultra X-Finity 600W ...... @ $90

2. OCZ Powerstream 520W ...... @ 150

3. Antec....probably a Truepower in the 500W range ..... @ ~$100

Also, what do you guys make of the Antec fanless psu's? The 500W is pricey @ $210, but quiet is nice.

I'm going to need to power a DFI SLI-DR w/ G.Skill Extreme 512x2, Opty 165, 1x 6800GT (another maybe later) a couple hdd's and a few fans.....possible H2O cooling later, so tack a pump onto that list.

What do you guys think?

Either the OCZ Powerstream 520 or Antec Truepower 2.0 550. Fanless PSUs require very good airflow to be safe, the OCZ and Antec aren't really loud. If you want quiet and 2 video cards, look at the Seasonic S-12 500 and 600.

Personally, I'd stay away from Antec--I just had a Neo 480 fail after 14 months--but, that's just me. FWIW, I replaced my dead Neo 480 with a OCZ PowerStream 520 and don't have any complaints.

That is the order I would put them in.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of the Ultra's. The newer model's look to be improved over the older batch.

Pretty much everone will tell you to get the OCZ, another great choice though is the Silverstone ST56ZF which, in my opinion, is better.

Looks like the concensus is OCZ. I think ill check out the Silverstone tho...


edit - wow. the silverstone has 4 +12v rails! only downside is that some reviews say it's a noisy sucker.

Definately get the OCZ. I picked mine up on eBay new for $117 USD :D.

That's the 650W ST65ZF - the better quality ST56ZF LD was referring to and its single 38A 12v rail is sadly not available in Canada yet :(

Get an OCZ you will not regret the purchase. Antec is my second choice, Please note there is no third
