Stupid F.E.A.R. question

This probably sounds retarded but I could have sworn that the sniper rifle fires a single powerful shot whick can't be seen exiting the barrel. All of a sudden it's firing three round burst's with visible flares like a machine gun. Do I have a corrupt file or am I just high?

It's not a sniper rifle lol, its an assault rifle with a scope.

I guess I'm just trippin then cuz I don't remember seeing anything come out of the barrel the first few times I fired it. It just made a muzzle flash with no visible projectile and the guy I hit in the head exploded in a shower of blood with one shot instantly.

Yeah thats the assault rifle. The particle weapon has a scope which is much closer to a sniper rifle.

its probally because all you would see is one muzzle flash in real life. it shoots those f*****g bulets fast. aim for the head my friend :cool:

I didn't see anything in the instruction about toggling firing modes but if there is and I missed it then I confess to retardation. :p

there are basically 2 sniper rifles : ASP and particle beam. The ASP is more like a marksman's rifle than a sniper rifle. The ASP fires a 3rd burst, the particle beam gun fires a.... particle beam thats purple and fries things.

Mine would pull that nothing blast too man. IDK what was up, but the second time I shot, it was perfect, if that's even what you're talking about...

And I stand corrected. I must've been thinking about COD2 or HL2. They SHOULD allow you the ability to toggle firing mode, like the real thing! :rolleyes:
