I just got Norton personal firewall 2001. It is making my webpages take longer to connect. I was wondering if anybody had any sugestions/tweaks/setting recomendations for getting NPF2001 optimised so it has the least amounts of impact on web speed.

I'm running Win98se, M$IE 5, and also have Norton Anti-virus 2001 installed.

Thanks,

fd

Turn off ActiveX protection (I think that's an option with the firewall). Can't remember if it was with the firewall or something else.

I don't use Symantec products anymore, seems they make everything run slower.

take it back to the store and purchase zone lab firewall pro - it is everything you need and doesnt not slow you down!
