im not new to cooling, but i am to water cooling. so i was wondering if i could have some help on making a water cooling setup, under 250? id like at least my cpu water-cooled. I feel really stupid, cuz ive both 4 heatsinks in the past 5 months, and no mater what, im still not happy with them. I just bought the alpha 8045, and im still a bit too warm. i was thinking about a setup from danger den, but i saw a few clear/copper water blocks that looked really nice.. neone wanna help out a newbie :)
I would go with the Danger Den gear.

i almost went with the polyblock (which looks AWESOME), but after seeing tons of reviews saying that the dangerden maze2 is the best you can buy, i eventually gave in, and went with the maze2. its the best out there. doesnt look as cool, but whatever, my case is never open anyway.

i just looked up on a setup from them, and it was around 300.. id really like the see-through waterblock tho.. those look awesome.. and i could probly buy the tubing at home depot as well with the hardware.. so i only need the water block, pump, and raitior pretty much.. so any ideas on those?

well this is what i was thinking for my water cooling setup..
from dangerden:
The Super Cube 3/8" Radiator
from overclockershideout
z4 water block
Anodized Reservoir 145gph
Video Card Aqua Sink
and id get some tubing and clamps from home depot or something.. sound good?

you'll save money to go with the z4 aquasink as well from OCH, actually, this block here:
https://www.overclockershideout.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=o&Product_Code=ZAS&Category_Code=WB
and this radiator:
http://www.overclockershideout.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=o&Product_Code=MicroFusion&Category_Code=R
the anodized reservoir you listed works excellently, go with that
the aquasink will work well on your geforce card if that's what ya got.
tubing, yeah, get it locally, get barbs and connectors locally, but id recommend getting some water wetter from och as well.
This way you get everything in one shipment, one shipping cost, and all of it is good stuff, i've got the z4, the same radiator, and same pump, and it all works excellently. once you get it, think about building a bong, they work well too.
Danger Den definately!I dealt with Dan over there and everything went smooth. There products are some of the best around.I have the Maze 2-1 with a 156w pelt.I also got the chipset and vid card blocks. You can't beat the quality, honesty, and service.I did get the AquaStealth radiator from Be Cooling because the new cube from DD wasn't going to be in for 2 weeks when I ordered.I luse the Eheim 1250(317gph).I really love my setup alot except for the fact that it takes up so much space. It won't fit in my case that's for sure.I had to set it up in another tool box with quick connects.

??
i have silicon that i got from home depot, and its nylong reinforced.
PLUS, you dont want squishy stuff because it KINKS! then, you are stuck with reduced OR STOPPED waterflow. that is bad. get good tubing, dont get the stuff from online, its usually pretty crappy, and WAY overpriced.

it will look cool, but i can gaurentee you that it will perform along the lines of a $29 block. it will cool as good as GREAT aircooling. if you are going to dive into watercooling, get a better block. you can get a copper polyblock for $35, the jagged edge waterblock for $29. the koolance is probably the worst performer of the bunch. sure, it looks cool, but in the long run, why switch from aircooling to watercooling to get very little performance gain?
if price is an issue, you can get better for the sae price. if looks is an issue, the polyblock looks cooler (IMO), and is only 45 more, yet performs twice as good.

well i place i was gonna get the koolance block from still isnt in stock and i dont think it will be for a while.. if i deside to get another block id like the z4.. but whould the danger den maze 2-1 w/ a peltier be a better way to go then just the z4? im totaly confused here.. i do have the extra cash.. and i wanna go the best way i can..
Z4 and the maze block are both great, for all practical purposes they perform about the same imo.
I would definatly not go with a peltier setup yet. Start with normal water cooling and use that till you feel comfortable, then move up to peltier if you want. Peltier's involve sealing your board to prevent condensation, etc. Smearing your motherboard socket with vaseline should make anybody nerverous. Not for the faint of heart =)
