I didn't know if this should be posted in Cooling or the Software forum...

Anyway, I've been reading on web sites about using programs that cool down the CPU when it is idle. Programs like Waterfall and Rain, etc...

I am using Windows XP, and am curious if I should bother to get that type of program or not.

If so, what would you suggest, and where would I download it?

USE VCOOL it 's excellent!!
but before installing Vcool u haf to get MBM5 because if u install Vcool straight away in XP there will be some problem but i forgot what
u have to install the MBM5 in order to install that function!

Mmmm gravy... I found Vcool and have it enabled. My system requires me to use the Idle Loop option, which decreases performance somewhat, but that's ok since lower temps = longer CPU life.

I'm idling at 28 C, instead of 41 C :)
