I'm curious what others are getting with this chip and their respected 3dmark2001 scores with the overclock. What kinda of cooling was used also? I've reached 1904 yesterday with stock cooling but was unable to run 3d apps and 3dmark2001 without it closing the apps. Windows XP ran fine all day with this speed. I'll get my DD waterblock/peltier hooked up and see what happens then.
I think that's fairly good people get 200mhz increase for those P4 usually.. I've seen 1.9ghz at 2.1ghz alot... So I think you can hit a little bit more.
It's possible to get to around 2.0-2.1 Ghz fairly easily. But it depends a lot on the motherboard, as you'll need quite a lot of voltage on most chips to get to or above 2.0 Ghz. My 1.7 chip maxes out at 2125 Mhz with the stock Intel cooler, but I'm getting a Swiftech MCX478 cooler as soon as my dealer has it. Mine will post upto 2266 Mhz at 2.20V, and my Samsung ram will also post at 133 Mhz fsb at 4x, so I'm hoping to resolve my heat issue with a better cooler and maybe get to 2266 Mhz :) Mine's a socket 478 though and yours is a socket 423, mine's actually the c1 stepping, the d0 is probably even better.

i would love to see some benchmarks of that system compared to the amd xp's
I wonder how the P3 2gig'z are benchmarking!
Read it and weep here (http://www.vapochill.com/performance/index.shtml?id=20).
2.36GHZ

Ok i installed my waterblock after putting it off for weeks and have managed to stay stable so far at 1869. Now i can run 3dmark2001 all the way through when before it would end the benchmark at the 1st test. Well here is a question i need answered. I can't go any farther than 1904 and i was able to do that with stock cooling as before. I've tried the disfferent voltages but heard this board doesn't actaully set the voltages even after i change them in bios. Anyone know if his is true? I'm sure this will go higher for i'm running temps around 8 C with a small 72 W peltier that i think isn't working so good anymore.
UPDATE:
I am now running at 1958 as i write this. My temps are averaging 16 C which is higher than i expected. Not sure if the peltier is working at full potential. My last system a P3 700@1022 used to get negative C temps with this peltier. Either the peltier is wearing, or the 2nd PSU is dieing , or maybe this P4 just puts out to much heat for this 72w peltier. The fan on the 2nd PSU is slowing down and there is strain on it for i can hear the other fan slowing also. Peltier or PSU? I'll figure it out later.
