from what i remember of it you have to set it up according to your clock generator chip manufacturer and # on your motherboard which is usually an ICS or WINBOND. I stopped using it for reasons i don't remember except i don't think it saved the settings on bootup and was like cheating death. I mean if you can't get your computer to boot after raising the FSB in bios to which it is given a little strain on your chip at boot. So after booting and your at idle the chip is easier to set a high FSB and eventaully the computer locks when stress is applied via 3d apps or any others apps.
