I have 1x 2.5GB hdd with Win2k on and all my files. I now also have a 8.6GB hdd but it has WinNt4 on 1 2.1GB partion and an empty 5GB partion. How do I keep my files, but 'swap' the two OS's? I don't mind re-installing Win2k but I can't reinstall Nt4 cos of the programs etc on it. I was thinking of doing a simple DOS xcopy - would this work or is there a better command??
Thanks

look into setting up a dual boot NTFS 2k install onto that empty 5 gigs, lots of ways to do it, easy, make sure that u have sp 4 or above on your nt if u want to read 2k from it

u could set up your 2k/nt dual pull everything u wanted over to 2k delete ur nt partion(must edit boot ldr and ini) and expend ur 2k out to the full vol

Just decided to format the 8 gb drive and do a fresh install of 2K onto it, then pulled my doc's from the 2gb over and installed NT4 on the 2gb. Much quicker now as wel;) thanks for the help:D
