Conflict!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all,
I ahve a problem. Over the wkd i had to uninstall win 98 and put on a totally clean version of it again.
When i re-installed the drivers for my hardware a conflict appeared between sound card and printer port/modem.
Its IRQ 5 what ever the hell that is i don't know myself (i think its interupted request or some thing like that, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

I'm not on my pc at the moment and i'm sure i'm missing lots of other details but can any one give me a hand???

You're probably having an IRQ conflict. The easiest way to solve it is to change the PCI slot your soundcard is in. IRQs can be assigned manually but I find it easier to just swich the slot. Hope this helps

Thanks mate. i was going to do thatbut i decided to remove it from the system. When i re booted i just installed drivers and hey presto it worked finest!

I had to do the same again when i installed my fire wire card.
All still in same slots!! Yipee!
