What is the best game controller for Q3

I currently use the keyboard and optical mouse. Is there a better game controller that would improve my control and response on Q3?

Yup Keyboard and mouse works everytime although I personally believe that I obtain better movement using a traditional ball mouse rather than an optical

Mouse and Keyboard in the WSAD scheme. Left click fires, right click changes weapons. Thats what I use.
