Ok, I've bin fiddling with my 1.4Mhz T-Bird on an A7A266 mobo with the latest 1008b bios patch.

I'm able to set it up to 1575.5 at 11.5x 137 and it runs stable at default voltage. I have my 384MB of PC133 running at 2,2,2 and it's running along just great.

I can even activate the sytem purformance boost option in the bios that ups the FSB a little and have it hit 1600 and it still runs fine. I stopped going any higher due to the fact that at 1575.5 my CPU was running at about 56 degrees and when the purformance boost option was set it was climbing rather close to the 60 mark.

As you can see from my sig I'm using the stock HSF that came with my CPU until I can get a better one (making a bong system as we speek.)

I don't have my chip numbers handy I wrote them down the other day and promptly lost the page.

Ok I lied here's the chip numbers.

Yes that sounds about normal. You have an AYHJA Y chip looking at your chip code.

Lets us know how you get on with your bong.

Is that a good chip?

I did see somewere some mention on the benefits of certain chip types but not sure were.

As well my chip was already unlocked, is that normal?

yes thats a great chip, and yes it should already be unlocked, but i would relax a little until you get a better cooler (maybe a penny taped to your core would get you a few degrees cooler than what youre using.:D

Read this (http://www.overclockers.com/articles471/) for a great idea on another great use for your cooler.

:D Yup :D

Seen that article before! And yes I'm definately going to cool it for a bit! I have a bong on the workbench at the moment. Currently getting info from the fellas in the Cooling forum :)

And If it wasn't for the fact that the Vantec HSF I had bought sucked so bad I would not be using this stock HSF. I was only getting a single degree difference between the Vantec cck-6035d (I think that's the model #) compaired to this POS I have right now! So water cooling for me.

Thanks for the info on my CPU fellas.

I see that the sixth sense has invaded this forum. Just a few moments ago I was looking at my new TBird under the scope it was showing some alarming signs of being a little too hot. I of course have a really nice paper weight sitting on top of it. Still do....for.... the moment. (serves dual purposes #1. it holds the dining room table down quite well, and #2 tomorrow it will make a great target for my shot gun.)
