Just got my new SK6 and fan.

My new SK6 and ys 40 cfm fan just arrived from Fed Ex. Couldn't wait to install it so I didn't. Installed it using AS II and fired her up. Watched as my temps rose and it stopped at 39 C. Decided to use Prime 95 and give her the Torture Test. Temps steadily rose to 45c and stopped. Not to bad compared to what it was (47-48c idle and up to 58-60c full load depending on room temp). I think she is ready to take on some lite overclocking since i cant go to far as my case wont let me install any case fans except one 80mm on the rear. Next purchase is an Antec full tower and new psu for the drives. As always suggestions and comments welcome.

One more thing, I noticed on the stock hsf that when i reseated it with a generic thermal compound that after a few days the temps dropped 2-3c at idle and under load. Will AS II do this also?

Yes the temps go down a little after about 8 hours.

Hey Wyno,
Check my post in the cooling section. I too only had on spot for a fan in the back of my case but used this rig that is for drive bays. It wouldedn't fit in my bay cuz its too long and hits the mobo so I flipped it on its side and installed it out the back. It fits perfectly between my cards and the side of the case. The best thing it has 2 9cm fans that blow hard but are extremely quiet.
