Stressing the BF2 server

I really would like to get a few people to log on all at the same time so i can play with the server a bit before sunday. i traded the base ram for some higher end stuff and connected to the gigabit router . little things but i would like to know that it will have no problems with many of you on it. otherwise i will have to put my premium machine in there and i really like my premium machine where its at in my room ..

Thats what i need to know. The line is fine, it's 0c3 but i need to make sure the machine is fine running it. ill bang it tonight from the internet cafe' as well.

Right after I edited my post I tried again, and was able to connect and played for two rounds, I even managed to die twice playing by myself. Who would know that a supply drop could kill you...go figure.

Hi! Tried to join your server right now, but got kicked for "modified content" by pb. I only have the 64map singler player mod installed. Do I have to remove it?

EDIT: Had to remove the 64SP mod then it worked. Met "Wizard James". The ping from Norway was 164 to 170ish. To much for BF2. Nice server anyway.

hmm, was playin there for a bit, hmm, forget the ping ..but i was LOW. so, i am happy. its a good server, no lag.. nothing. if anyone wants to play right now, message me on msn or xfire..or aim..or somethin.. lol. tryed playin on some other server,... i cant stand a squad that goes off on all sides of the maps.

if there are issues it will be because i clocked the crap out of that RAM .. if its a little tight then i might have to tone it down some :-)

Try the "battlefield.no" servers if you get good enough ping. They got 13 ranked and one unranked.

I get 120 - 140-ish from the netherlands and i flew the chopper and helo like normal.

Yeah, due to our crappy network here at schoool, the best ping I get usually for any server is ~100 and from there it goes up. I never had problems with a ping in the 150's.

^^ crappy network or the fact there is probably some few hundred other people using that connection likely :)

each dorm is supposedly connected via T1 or T3 which is then bottlenecked to a 10m network that everyone in that dorm (~400-500) is on...

can't wait till next fall, off campus living. :D

crappyyyyyyy for sure - 10mb? yeah that does suck!, we had a 10m network @ our work with 17 computers and it was getting it's butt kicked.

Its fine for me... I get a ping of 50 or so :)

But thats probably because im on the east coast.
