I'm going to get an XP 1600 soon, and I'd like to know what you all have gotten out of XPs.

Is that the max? I'm hoping to get my XP 1600 @1600 with my mad bong cooler. That shouldn't be overclocking. Darn that PR rating.

I got the A7M266 because I heard it spanked for OCing. Does that sound right?

1800 XP at 1.68-was running fairly well at 1.69 but wasn't quit stable enough for my tastes.

1700@1650 Mhz, I think it shoul be able to hit 1700 unlocked and with a Vcore mod

Ditto that....lol :D

Still doesn't want to give me 1725 though. I think it's gonna take a bit more than 1.85v to get there....

I haven't seen a volt mod for the board I'm running yet....I've seen a few for MSI boards, but not this one. :(

If I could just get 1.95v...I think I might get 1750, maybe a bit more....I would love to see this 1800+ @ 1800+...hehehehehe

I just got my AthlonXP 1600 yesterday...

running it at 1.6GHz rock stable, reasonable temps (39 idle, 45 load)

haven't unlocked mine yet, just got it Thurs, but so far it's gotten me to 11.5x149fsb, not too bad, and i've not even upped the vcore yet!

Looks promising. What kind of cooling do you have? If it's a less than a bong, maybe I'll even get up to 1650 +/-. Also, what's your stepping?

I'm watercooling now, but Thurs when i got the chip, i installed it in my old case with an sk6 and good case ventilation, it worked exactly the same, so i'm thinkin now it will go even higher, I'm at work today/tomorrow morning, but tomorrow round noonish, if it's cool enough out here in hawaii, i'm gonna shoot for 1.8ghz. I'm gonna try unlocking it tonight, as i've brought the chip with me, we have a micro/miniature station here that will aid me in my venture. Anyhow, with an xp1600, i'd think 1.6ghz shouldn't be out of reach without using multiplier changing, just fsb, depends on your mobo/ram. might have to increase the vcore a bit, maybe not.

Hmm.. i guess i got a good chip. xp 1600 or 1.4ghz at 1.7ghz with air and only 1.92 volts. My fsb is crapping out on me at 162 so once i get a new board unlock this thing and throw it in my vapochill will see what it gets:D ( thats if my evaporater doesnt crush the core again)

XP 1700+ @ 1661 (151 FSB) 2.0v . Will go 1672 (152 FSB) but need abit more tweaking for stability . Still burning-in chip . So far not too impressive . :( (what's wierd is that the chip DEFAULTS @ 1.81v , me NO like that :p ) Chip multiplier is STILL locked , for now .
