View Full Version : Frozed up
When i try to test my ram for errors (using memtest86 or memtest86+) the test just freezes up at test 8. The timer even stops counting. I tried the test at stock & oc but it still stops at test 8. Is there something wrong with the program or is it my ram?
My Ram is: Corsair 1GB (TWINX1024-3200C2PT)

Are you trying windows version, dos version or DFI built in version?

I think you have it overclocked too high. Decrease the ram speed and see if that helps any.

Did you try burning another ISO, because that one could be faulty.

Try a single stock of memory, and then they the other stick.

Does all the tests freeze or is it just test 8, because I always use test 5 which is the quickest and best test IMO.
Try a single stock of memory, and then they the other stick.
I'll give it a try...

1-7 test works fine but when it gets to test 8 it freezes at 21%ish

stock
First stick: pass
Second stick: pass
Both sticks: freezes up at test 8
I can't figure out why is it doing this?

Do you have them in the same colored slots? They may not be in dual channel.
I had them on the same colored slots

Try single channel and if it still ends up with errors then RMA the sticks.
I tried single channel and it came out with no errors...
