7800GT Vs. X1900XT??

Hey guys I am curious a bit about compareing these 2 video cards in sli vs

crossfire.

I ran some tests and compared the results with others tests using 3dmark 05

and 06.

In 3dmark 05 using 1x 7800GT vs. 1x X1900XT both cards scored about the

same giver or take 50 or 60 points with the ATI in the lead.

In 3dmark 06 the 7800GT scored almost 500 points lower then the

X1900XT ok that seems odd to me??

In 3dmark 05 with 2x 7800GT Running SLI Vs. 2 X1900XT Running Crossfire CF

The 7800GT came ahead by alittle over a 1000 points.

In 3dmark 06 again running both in sli and crossfire configs the 7800GTs

came out ahead by a tad bit over 200 points...

These were done with 2x BFG 7800GTs and 2 ATI X1900XTS

Now what I wanted to know was:

I thought 1 ATI X1900XT was = to 2x 7800GTs??

If so why am I scoreing better in sli vs. crossfire??

Plus these were 7800GTs not 7800GTXs is this normal??

Hmm I would like to see that link...... Right now an x1900xt stomps the GT. Maybe you are talking about the 7800GTX 512? Now two of those in sli should be comparable to the x1900xt's in CF. I know that CF is still working out the kinks, but there is no way 2x gts should beat out 2x x1900xts. I mean i just got my x1800xt up to the 12,000 mark in 05. Post site so others can see please.

this isn't really a fair comparison...... for one thing Crossfire is still in it's infancy..... and two, a single 1900XT is probably almost as good as two GT's in benchmarks. If you can provide some numbers for these scores I could better make my point.

I want to post pictures and links but 1 I dont know how to take screen shots

Someone showed me how a couple of years ago but I kinda forgot so if

someone could just remind me how like step by step I will do just that.

Now for 2 using 3Dmark 05,and 06 I did not register as it says it costs big big

bucks for the license so I cannot sign in to post my results.

Sorry I am still new to this video card and benching stuff......

I was also wondering since I am just using the trial versions of both these

programs would this give me incorrect score results making the 7800GT score

better then the X1900XT??

a x1800xl stomps a 7800gt and keeps up with a gtx, there's not even a comparison between 7800gt and x1900's

Oh 1 other thing on the 2 ATI boxs it says ATI X1900 256MB is that different

then the X1900XT or is it the same thing??

the xt and xtx have 512

that may be the AIW that has the 256. i know it has lower clocks also.

the CF 1900 is the same speed as the xt

I think a confused person is messing with our heads. A x1900 cf has same clocks. There is no 256 x1900xt. I think you need to go back and look at where you got this information wrong. I would suggest looking at some more relieable sources or going through the forums here and seeing what other people have gotten on simular set ups. Not sure why you would need to do a screan shot if it is a link online.
