I'm trying to decide which GPU block to get. My rig is an overclocked overvolted dual core Opteron, two overclocked 7800GTX's and I'm cooling the chipset chip on a DFI Lanparty NF4 SLi D. I already have the Swiftech Apex Ultra kit and I'm looking to source the GPU blocks (and chipset block for that matter).
My problem is that the MCW60's are not available in the UK whereas the MAZE4's are. FrozenCPU will ship MCW60's to the UK but I'm wondering if the extra cost and hassle is worth it?

I own the MCW55, and its mounting looks about the same as the MCW60. I found it to be easy to install on my 7800GT. What makes the Maze4 so much easier to install? Do you guys own both of them?

The mounting is fine I just don't think its worth importing a block if he can get the Maze 4 locally.
The maze 4 screws go into the block, whereas the Swiftech ones hang free so when you are installing the block, you have to hold the screws on the swiftech whereas you don't with the Maze 4. Also, the maze 4 has a rubber gasket that allows for full contact of the mounting plate so the card doesn't bend when tightening down, whereas the swiftech has only a rubber spot on the mounting plate which results in the card bending when you tighten down the bolts.

I would go with the Maze4 (low profile) because of the limited space available for WC blocks on an SLI rig. Also, if you buy the Swiftech, it just came out last week( I think), so its yet to be proven to be a good block, and I wouldnt base my purchase on the manufacturers reputation( although Swiftec h is very good). The Maze4 is proven, and probably dropping in price as the new Swiftech model has been released.
IMHO, both blocks are probably the same when it comes to performance and efficiency, but the Maze4 offer more compatibilty with an SLI setup.
But, I am also new to water-cooling, so many someone has a different opinion, or links to reviews of the MCW60 that I havent seen.

what size barbs are you using? i read somewhere in these forums that the 1/2 barbs need a lil modifying if you want to use the mcw60 with the swiftech ramsinks, oh ok, i found it, heres the guide provided from grouchon himself: http://www.swiftnets.com/products/installation_guide_mcw60.pdf. If the MAze4 is readily available to you, i would say pick that up since it should be cheaper its a great block. If you are set on the MCW60, just wait until its more widespread so we have more performance info on it and so you do not have to spend extra money to have it shipped to you.

I can see your points. I was concerned about bending of the board too with my MCW-55, but so far no damage has occured.
I was also concerned about the single rubber ball contact that their kit uses, but as it turns out, the air cooler that came with my card used the exact same concept. (the bracket looks like an "X").

silverprops have little to no advantage over a maze4. You'll get the same temps and have less in your wallet.

There have been several reports of fusion hl's doing much better than the maze 4.

havent found any real data on the Silverprops, but in a couple stickies from respected forums the gpu and chipset are rated the best. The mounting hardware can be a pain to install.

crimedog had both. He got the same temps as the maze4. He posted more than a few times on the same debate. There are tons of "HL silverprop vs maze4" threads here and other forums.

yes, i've used and installed the mcw50, maze4, fusionHL and i'll take the maze4 hands down every time because of the mounting (I switch stuff around a lot so it's important to me). as for temps it's damn near impossible to tell a difference between em.

Well there are ''reports" and I cant attest to their reliability.
If your looking for easy mounting than maze 4 takes the cake.
I own a maze4 gpu block, man was it easy to install!
