If you want to host your own site on this server the first thing you'll have to do is get a static ip address from your ISP or get a service like http://www.dyndns.com/

That website has a ton of info you can read up on to understand how people access websites.

The second step is to register a domain name and have it point to your static ip. Dyndns has a lot of info on that too.

Good luck!

you check your e-mail by using a e-mail progrm such as outlook express.

aside from using outlook, is there a way to access my mercury/32?... like yahoo or msn type of thing.

i never did like using outlook.... i prefer the web-base type.

thank u for ur time.... hope to hear from u soon... :)

Have you followed guides for Apache and what not? Those should be good enough to get things up. Have you gotten a test page going yet?

FWIW its good to see another filipino on board!

i prefer www.no-ip.com
its free and you can have your own sub-domain
my old one was David.servecounterstrike.com
or it could be like blank.myftp.com
blank.noip.com

all it does it let the outside world see your ip address as a string of characters aka your domain or sub-domain :D

You will need an apache install which supports PHP4. Then download and install squirrelmail: www.squirrelmail.org
