I am bored of my collection once agian. I wore out playing AOEIII and dig the series. RCT3 is all played out. Most of the games in my collection are boring to me now. I am again in the hunt for a new game to play the heck out of.
This is where you come in. What games have you played that you think I would enjoy playing. Please give a simple reason why, and if you think I may of played it. Don't worry, might spark a good angle to hit. Age is of no issue, since if it was a fun game it still is.
Some games I have played and enjoyed.
Sudeki, but was not the best game
LOTR
FF vairous ones.
Dungeon Keeper 1&2
B&W w/exps
DiabloII
Fallout1&2
Alot of FSP games, but rather bored of the genre.
Some flying games and racers. I don't have a controller anymore, so most these game will collect dust.
I did some of the Sid Meyers games. had fun, but low replay value to me.
I rarely do multiplayer.
I don't want to pay to play. Just buy the game and go.
I am looking to maybe catch a game I missed along the way. Even a game that is new and missed out on. I am seriously bored and need to blow about a week of time waiting for a project to make its way to me. So gaming it is. :D

try planescape:torment
also do you enjoy RTS games, becuase you might try dawn of war and rise of nations
Morrowind was a great RPG or FPRPG for that matter
Pick up a copy of Worms 2 for cheap
I found the latest spiderman game, the one done in cell shading to be pretty good
Since it isn't on your list, I'll say Starcraft for the sole reason of it being the best game ever created. In the six years that I played the game, I never actually played the campaigns, so I can't say how good the single player is (most people agree it is good), but the multiplayer is the funnest i've ever played.

I got a copy of Rise of Nations. I admit that game was a good one. Did Morrowwind, but din't get to far into it. I still have a copy but it is on perminate loan. The borrower is MIA right now. lol
I did Worms Armageddon, Was fun for about 2 or 3 days and got mundane. Cool game for the eveyso often. :D
Will check out Spidey. Think I will hop over and grab a demo of it. :D
I can borrow a copy of Starcraft. Since one of my buds was a addict to that game and Warcraft (also II with expnasions). Hehe I got the original Warcraft around here somewhere around here.
I have over 100+ games in my collection, and it iseems most the new games are just redone clones of games I already played. I have done many demos as games come out. Hard to find a good FPS of late, minus the fact I am bored of shooters.
It has been a very long time since a good game has come out. More input more then welcome. :D Though I admit I may of missed some good titles.

Neverwinter Nights was a pretty good RPG, but Baldur Gates II is supposed to be better. I played NWN through and enjoyed it. BGII I played for a few hours then got stuck - haven't revisted it.

Is never winter nights the one with the plague and makes everything sepia color in the beginning?
I think I done baldurs gate II. It has the multi level shops and town layouts? One part you have to sneak and flips some switches?
Man I feel like a game junky.

Guild Wars is very fun, at first when I tried it I didn't give it a chance I was addicted to WoW, lol. Anyway the WoW craze wore off of me and I had Guild Wars laying around and wanted to give it a try again, now I can't quit playing it. Very stable game, great graphics, kinda reminds me of Diablo 2.

KOTOR is still my favorite non-FPS. I'm not even that much into star wars, it was just a fun, compelling storyline.

After not playing games in YEARS, I really got into Command & Conquer Generals.. The graphics and game play are great if you like that type of game. The multiplayer and skirmish mods are alot of fun too and challengine when you pump up the # of opponents and difficulty level.

rome total war: blows all other RTS out of the water. Until you get bored of the graphics, which should be awhile, at least.
Kotor 1 was good, 2 sucked. Too easy and no more novelty value.
Sims 2 = novelty value, pretty good
Morrowind + all expansions: kept me interested for a great 3 hours then delete. Stone Age game design, frustrating quests, poor interface (old)
NWN: unless you are a D&D fan, you'll probably not get some of the stuff in the game, ie throwing dices for attacks and just about every other aspect of the game. For MP, NWN sucks too, try guildwars or something (i've never played guildwars)

About the only multi I do is with one of my bros. Good old DiabloII. Since he knows my IP by heart now, I set the host up and off we go. We do a Baal run and shoot the breeze. He understands that I will bail at any given notice. Sometimes I will just bail. I did the SoFII multi for a bit. Even AEOIII was fun multi. I sometimes will have to abort a game without giving any notice, to me the is not a good thing. I perfer not do do multi at this time. Though sometimes I do get the urge for multi. When I do, the whoppin' can is open and serving large portions. :D
I partially did SIMS 2. That did nothing for me. Total control freak game. lol
I been burnt on C&C since.. Well forever. At the time I played the heck out of it and Mech Warrior 1 & 2.
there is a rise of nations sequel being released in may if you liked the original. i actually just got the original today. seems pretty good.

RoN was a pretty good game. I played the heck out of it. Also another one that is fun is Axis and Allies. Not as diverse as RoN, but is fun to replay historical battles.
I am looking forward to any expansions of Rise of Nations.

Leisure Suit Larry 1,2,3,5,6,7 (there is no 4 and Magna Cum Laude is pretty much all mini-games).

I watched a trailer for that Larry game. Are all them based on sex and vulgarity?
Well, I know you said no to first person shooters, here are some that are way out of the norm.
Clive Barker's Undying - One of the best FPS's ever made, a pure masterpiece of story and suspence.
And a new one I am playing right now,
Call Of Cthulu - Dark Corners Of The Earth, is just came out, but it has some pretty dated graphics, but fun as hell to play. And if you are a HP Lovecraft fan, even better.

I have the undying disk set. Was a fun game. I thought Alice was a better game for the time. I still have Dracula too, and never even played it.
I got bored of fps a long time ago. There is a few that are fun for a bit. After so many games it is hard to find fun in running around and shooting everything in sight. A can of beer and a nice paced game is more my speed nowadays. Taking over the world one toon at a time, is more fun for me.
I did just grab, last month. Far Cry and currently doing that. Fun game, but nothing really special to it. Next month I should get my PS2 so I can grab some Spyro games.

Undying one of the best under-rated games of all time, Alice was fun as hell to.
I'm checking out the Call Of Cthulu website as we speak, looks like a cool game, may have to try it myself.

I've been enjoying Empire at War. It has skirmish modes for both land and space, a galactic mode with a number of different maps and two standard full campaigns (rebel and empire). There is also supposed to be a scenario editor on its way. ETA...
It's got a few nice bells and whistles also: a paused mode where you can look around and/or queue builds (presumably in single-player only), options to have the computer auto resolve battles for you or to prompt you each time, unneeded buildings can be sold back at a reduced rate, a 'movie mode' where the computer auto-resolves and you get to watch the remainder of the battle from random camera postions. Not useful, but it's pretty cool. It's pretty good in-game visually also.
It seems like it has the potential for good repeat playability. You can rush, turtle, boom, econ raid, etc. The AI is reasonably good in tactical mode. e.g. it picks on the injured, which is totally cool. It's good in strategic mode too, but I personally wish it would attack a bit more.
Anyway, I haven't had the game that long, but I feel pretty good with this as a recommendation.

Absolutely 100% :D In a comedic way though.

I admit one of my favorite vulgar games is a FPS. I enjoyed the Postal series. I AM THE LIZARD KING!! It is one of the games I do enjoy revisting. To bad the last one is laced with Starforce. :( The first two are just plain silly, vulgar and fun.
Planescape Torment
Icewind dale
Icewind dale 2
Baldurs gate 2(if you havnt yet)+throne of bhaal
Fallout tactics
Knights of the old republic
Warhammer 40,000 dawn of war
And if you don't mind crappy graphics and have a dos emulator,
Wing commander 1&2
Kings quest (the later ones in the series have at least something to look at)
Space quest(same as kings quest)
Those are some of my best pc gaming memories(non fps games)

Warcraft
Command and Conquer
Star Wars:Night of the Old Republic
Sim City 3000
Warhammer 40k
World of Warcraft
There are more and most of those were probably mentioned, though those are the best ones i would say to start with. Also one some like Warcraft, though I mainly mean III, I did not put the excact one because I honestly think you should try them all.

Warcraft 3 custom map - DotA (Defense of the ancients) is the best mod (custom map) for warcraft 3. Without DOTA warcraft 3 would be dead 2 years ago.

lol nice..I still have the original Warcraft too...but warcraft 3i s really good. it is worth to buy it just for that map DOTA i'm serious. You need expansion to play it and my friend just bought the battle chest couple weeks ago he has been playing everyday ever since..
A game that I liked a lot that I heard a lot of hype about, then when it came out, everyone was silent, was Republic: The Revolution. I found it used at EB for like $20, and I played it constantly last year when I was without my internet. I'm also a huge fan of the Football Manager series (soccer management game, total number crunching) but that one might be a bit harder to find, and much more of a niche game.

Yeah, DOTA is a very good game. I don't think Warcraft would of anyway been dead 2 years ago considering most people that play DOTA don't even play Warcraft online however.
