Problem...

I just started folding this morning

installed folding

it d/led its stuff and then started doing frames
Well I got disconnected from there inter and forgot about the folding...recoonected .played soem tribes 2 came out of game and thought hey wait a second I was folding...now I ran the FAH2Console.exe again but it asked for my name again, do I have to start over? there is also Core_65.exe on my desktop but it wasnt there before..I ran it but nothing has happened...

You downloaded the text console version, correct? If you did, you need to put it in a directory somewhere. It is not an install package, just an EXE.

Also, there is a bug with the console where it will not assign you a unique user ID until you restart it.

So, what I would do is:

1) Put it in a directory somewhere, perhaps "C:\Program Files\Folding@Home" or whatever.

2) Start it up, put in you name and team #. And let it start running.

3) Stop the client and restart it. It should then go fetch a user ID and you are set.

Just to be sure, check you client.cfg file in whatever directory you put this in. There should be a lines that show your: User Name, Team, and user ID.

If they are all there, you are set.

I had the same problem hopefully the next version will solve this minor install issue
