Well..I played for a few days w/ the stock fan but the huge sinks on this card were getting a little warm. (PNY Tech Ti500) Decided to replace the fan with one from a high-end switch that died. I love this card!
Installed...

Finshed product...much cooler. Haven't checked temps but the sinks are cool to the touch and there's a greater amount of air flow. :)

Thanks funnyperson! Frozen...Ugh..watercooling. It's like a new drug..If I start, I'm gonna end up dropping the ball again on my other various bills. I gotta stick w air at least until spring. I'm in the NE US so it'll be cold for a while.
Proze...I agree..it's for the "Saturday Fun" aspect mostly. Played a bunch of games and then opened my case and checked the top and sinks on the card...GeForce 3's get HOT!!!! I'm running at stock speeds for now. Eyed the fan on the shelf and the rest is history.
The fan, for me, asures a long lifespan for the card and I know it'll run upside down for months. Until I start w/ some hardcore watercooling craziness, it'll suffice. :)
Thanks All!

i know how it goes man, my fiance and I will prolly have to eat Top Ramen for a month to recover my latest venture! lol, nah, i stashed for a few months and bought it without her knowing, but she thanks me for it now, since it's much quieter than the 747 i had going before! lol, good luck with the card man, that heatsink looks schweet! time to do some wheelies on that pc!

Geeze..you Albany (NY) people are so pushy!!! :) Sup Pinky! :) So far this is the bottom line: No superduper overclocker but I can't complain.
Every little bit helps, especially the memory bump... and with video cards, if there's no artifacting then it's completely safe for the card's memory and core (since we're only bumping up based on the component's cushion the manufacturer's allowed).
OK, I'm not disappointed anymore :D.
