This will be my last post until late tonight :) Going to movies...

Anyway, yes you can bump her higher with a higher bus speed jumper setting... since I haven't seen these jumpers in 4 years you'll have to consult the diagram that's probably on your motherboard... you're at 112 right now. The closer you get to 120 the more likely something on the PCI bus (IE -- one of your PCI cards, sounds, video, NIC) are going to fail because you're running your bus at a higher than normal speed... I'd say 115 or 120 are not out of the question. If the PC won't POST / boot at a higher bus, you probably need more voltage and maybe more cooling (but likely just voltage). In that case see if there are jumpers to set the voltage. Increase this (hell, I can't remember if P2s run at 3.0V or not :p lol, been too long) by .05 or .10V increments, whichever it allows. Only adjust the voltage if you have to. raising the bus speed should do it. One of the members here who's overclocked one of these in the last 4 years really should be helping with the exact numbers, I'm so far out of the loop on older equipment it's aweful , but that's a good thing to be aweful about!!

Good luck. I'll check back later for ya.

Oh, it's OK to just reply to the thread, you don't need to click the button to make a "new thread" when you want to reply... it congests the board :).

I got the cpu to 463 mhz something but the comp didnt boot.. i increased the voltage first to 6.0 then 7.0, 8.0 but it never booted.. Take a look at this http://www.asus.com/products/Motherboard/Pentiumpro/P2b/jumper.html
I dont know if i need even more voltage or if something else is wrong.. when i look at the page i cant figure out how to get more voltage then 8.0 .

ok.. i think im a little off here,, i changed the fsb to 133 mhz = 465 mhz.. it didnt boot.. then i thought i changed the voltage but i suppose i changed the multiplier.. hmm.. but if i set the fsb to 112 mhz and the multiplier to ex. 4.0 instead of 3.5 why doesnt the cpu gain speed? and how do i change the voltage like u said?

Multipliers on Intel processors are locked and cannot be unlocked. Only way to clock it at all is by the system bus.

As far as increasing voltage, it's probably done by jumpers on the board somewhere if it even has voltage adjustments. Just check the motherboard layout diagram.

I didn't think of this, but 112 is the highest the motherboard allows you to go according to that diagram in your link to the Asus page, which makes sense since back then, 133 bus speeds were unheard of.

Yes, a Celeron is an option, but they cripple them somewhat though if you could get one in the should outperform the P2 stuck below 400mhz.
