Well thats pretty much my question, I got a k6-2 333@400 that i could add not to mention a celeron 733, they proly won't be running 24-7 maybe not even 12hrs a day. but maybe that can change ;) so is there a time limit and if so what is it?
Thanks
Paul
You have three days to complete most Work Units. I heard that you have six for the villin but I am not sure. Run a couple of work units on them and see how long they take. I know that stanford used celeron 400's to benchmark the Work Units for their point value.
I think it's three days too. There was a note in the Stanford FAQ and I think in a message from Vijay that said the villins had a longer due date of 6 days, but it's kind of hard to say what's happening right now. They aren't saying much... I think because they've been so busy trying to iron out the rest of the bugs.
That K6 should be able to do the work in whatever time frame they give though.

I think both your boxes will work well within the folding limit

ok hopefully i'll be able to get them running, and if not i can always wake then up via the LAN :p and run it. hehe
There was an update on this in the official Folding2 Yahoo group. Not sure if it was posted to the site though.
Anyway, here it is.....

We've been bumping up the timeout. Right now it's 6 days for project
105. Since WU's take different amount of time, we've set the
deadline to how long it would take a 400 MHz Celeron if it was
spending 1/3 of the time crunching.
We'll start putting up the exact numbers on the project pages.
