most recent DET. drivers i benchmarked today (12.xx - 22.xx)

I recently installed Windows Xp and tried the new DET driver (21.83). In another post 2 days earlier i posted how these drivers lowered my 3dmark2001 scores by appr. 190 points. So not being sure whether it was the OS or the drivers i did the following. 1st i'm running Win98 also on a dual boot system so i installed the win98 version of the det 21.83 and tested it. The score was close to the same as Win XP. That done i guess it rules out it wasn't the OS. Ok now i tested each of these drivers only in Win98 so far:
12.41
12.60
12.90
21.81
21.83
22.40
Each time i used the program Detonator destroyer to completely remove the drivers along with uninstalling in the add/remove programs. I used the system below with no overclocking of the system or the video card and only ran the 1st 6 tests to achieve my scores for the Geforce 2 GTS card doesn't run the extra 7th test. Here are the scores ran only once through for each install of the drivers.
12.41 ------> 3372
12.60 ------> 3378
12.90 ------> 3518
21.81 ------> 3182
21.83 ------> 3080
22.40 ------> 3615

I hope that helps some people on deciding which drivers to try 1st. I'll add my results tomorrow for the same using Win XP.

Thank you!! I've finally found a newer driver that actually results in an improvement in my system! I've been using the 12.90 drivers and tried the 21.XX drivers, but they offered no gains. I tried the 22.40's, reluctantly, and they gave me a 349 point gain in 3DMark2001!

Glad it helped and i am working on results for the WinXP set of drivers tested which actaully are getting a bit higher scores.

That's cool, Phoenix! Thanks for your time and effort into this project! Only problem is that they have 3 new drivers out. I think that makes 3 drivers in 1 week!

go to www.maxreboot.com i got the newest 22.80s from there and gained about 60 points from the 22.50s....
