Most say late March or around that time. My guess is that it'll be a bit too expensive for it to be too popular, other then seeing benchmarks beating X1900s, except it may be $200 more expensive then the X1900...

Errr, everything i've seen indicates that nVidia is pricing this at X1900 levels...theres no point in releasing a new product thats more expensive than the one its replacing, seeing as a) its cheaper to make the GPU (90nm vs 110nm) and b) no-one would buy it.
Late March first april just in time for Taxes

What would be so hard to believe about it. The G71 is a process shrink, driven by Sony's needs. Although why Sony wouldnt just wait for a G80 variant in June since they are waiting for DRM anyway.

Mua ha ha ha ha!
March 9th you say?
My 90 day limit on eVGA's tradeup program is going to expire on the 15th of March, that should be perfect timing. Best I should email them and see if I can arrange something...

Supposedly in an article someone posted, they said that nvidia just made its last batch of chips, so they should be gone pretty soon. Again it's just speculation...

Inside sources just revealed an eVGA 7900GTX launch date of Feb. 29th, 2006 on Anandtech.com. BFG's launch is March 1st.
Well, I bet it made quite a few of you at least look?? :santa:

Hmmm I would like to see who will perform better ATI OR Nvidia?

geforce 7900 is probably going to cost $799 just like the 7800gtx 512mb did when it came out. I expect it to crush the x1900xt

When the 7900 range comes out will they stop producing the series 6 line from the 6200 to the 6800GS. I mean the GS has just become available over hear in the Uk so they could stop it all of a sudden.
Should be out within a month or so. The 83.62 drivers have support for a 7900GT and a 7900GTX.

Nuh-uh. Not. Very. Likely.
On both counts.

The 6x00 series of cards is already pretty old, the 6200 has been replaced already by the 7300, the 6600/6600GT will be replaced with the 7600GS and 7600GT, and the 6800GS will simply fade into obscurity, as it was a short lifetime part. The 7600GT will probably take its place, unless they make a 7800GS to go with the 7900GT and GTX.

Anybody have any test on this card its coming out and there got to be tests someware.

nVidia will probably launch the 7900's on or slightly after March 9th coinciding with the opening of CeBit 2006. BFG is saying March 9 for it's line of 7900's.
A 2/29 "insiders" launch for eVGA's 7900 ain't gonna happen no way, no how. eVGA might announce when their cards might be available on the 29th, as BFG already has, but they will not preempt NV's official launch. There would be hell to pay if they did lol

Not to take this off-topic, but it's not a leap year...therefore no February 29th. Back to topic, I have also heard about the release being in the first half of March. I've heard alot of things, but until someone gets one to bench or it hits shelves, its all rumors...nothing more.

Guys, the Feb. 29th statement was complete "JK, JK"..
There was no truth to it at all, I thought most of you had a sense of humor on here.

I have my money set a side for it, only if it kills ATI...

I think I might have to get the 6800GS ASAP I want to be able to play great games with excellent graphics till the end of the year before my next build. Out of all these news model's are they also coming into AGP flavour at a later time or the same time as PCI-E is released.

If Nvidia blows my X1900XT out of the water than you can ask me how the new 7900GTX is a few days after its release because I will have one in my rig.

Not that I know of. But I am coming from an evga 7800GTX and I must say that I love the Forceware drivers much more than these damn Catalysts. All of my games played smooth on the 7800, now with my X1900 I destroy everything in the benchmarks and I get a 30% to 40% improvement in framerate and benchmarks. Most of my games play smooth but there are noted glitches like FEAR has a huge stuttering effect during gameplay. On the 7800, anything I threw at it would be smooth as hell. I always leaned toward Nvidia in the GPU and driver wars so I am waiting patiently for the new 7900 series to come out.

The problem with the 3DM06 scores is they include the CPU scores in the total score. That makes the BM worthless for anything but relative compares on the same system.
Viper
What is a good score tester?
3dmark05 and 3dmark03. Those are more GPU based

3DM05 is the least sensitive to system speed running single card. With modded SLI or CrossFire pairs though even it gets CPU bottle necked pretty bad. It takes a mountain of CPU/system speed to keep a pair of modded 7800-512's or x1900XT's data loaded.
