Right now, I have an ATI Rage 8mb vid card. Crapm, but I don't play many games ATM. I have some money, and I wonder if I should spend the money to buy a 75$ Geforce 2 card (cn) the only thing I want is a vid card that will let me hit 1.2 gigs, and won't interfere with my OCing, any suggestions>

If you're looking for good overclocking results, then the geforce 2 will work fine... suggest spending a couple $20 more and getting a cheap Geforce 2 Pro card over any MX card... damn the prices dropped since the Radeon's were released!!

i suggest going with the radeon LE for 51$, should whip the pants off any mx.....also the KyroII is a good card for 66$, if you can afford it the Gainward Geforce2 Ti is reallyt good for 140 as it has 4.0ns ram, overclockable to Geforce3 sppeds....

The gainward gf2 ti500 VIVO is the one you want for 139 i think it is the best bang for the buck i have it and am happy with it.

I know all hardware is diferent, but theoretically, would a 98' card like the one I have slow me down from ocing to hgher speeds 120 fsb, or would it matter?

it all depends on whether you have an agp 1/2 dividerm, then it should be fine, but i really suggest you upgrade....

The reason I didn't suggest the Radeons is because they don't tend to go as high as the geforce cards without issues at a faster AGP speed.

oops, wtf have i been thnking, my ATI is AGP 2x. When OCing, the speed of AGP doesn't increase does it? only PCI, so the vid card isn't the resason why I can't go higher which points it down to prolly my ram or the heat

actually yes it does, the speed of the agp bus is normally 1/2 or 2/3 of the front side bus.....the video card normally is not a problem, but it can be....
