boot disk still wont detect my cdrom
what is wrong? for windows98

any number of things, without any background who knows? 1st guess its jumped wrong?

Try using an alternative bootdisk rather than the Windows 98 one itself.. Had a friend who used the Microsoft Bootdisks for windows and it didn't detect his cd rom drive until he got a more complex bootdisk that did everything for him.

You may have to manually edit the boot disk that Win98 makes. this is sometimes needed if the CD Rom is an old one. If you can't do it yourself you may need a friend's help.
