Well my psu finally came in and now i have both 1900s hooked up. ATI Catalyst doesn't detect my second card. I don't know what to do. I have tried so many things. I'm 95% sure i have everything correct in the bios, but Catalyst wont let me do anything to the second card. I can enable crossfire, but it literally doesnt have the slightest performance gain. Any ideas?

What MB are you using?
Also try uninstalling Ati Drivers\CCC, running Driver CLeaner and reinstalling CCC\drivers. I have first hand knowledge that if you just stick in the second card and boot, drivers won't be installed for the second card.

Ok update:
I did exactly what you said.. Uninstalled everything ATI, reboot, ran Driver Cleaner, reboot, ran install, reboot.
Same thing...
When i right click on the little ati button in the bottom right, they both show up, but when inside the program, the only " graphics adapter " is the crossfire edition card. When i run Sandra Lite, both cards show up.

You have to enable Crossfire in CCC. Should be the last option in Advanced view.

The only graphics adapter that is going to show up in CCC is the CrossFire Edition. The dvi end on the dongle is supposed to be plugged into the socket below the one on the Mastercard, so if your looking at the back of your case, it will be the dvi port on your right.
Maybe there is something in the bios that needs to be set, I'm not familliar with that MB so I cannot halp ya there.

crossfire is enabled in CCC, but it is not plugged in the port below it, let me try that. And no he meant the right, well atleast for my sapphire cards.

I've got sapphire cards too, and when in my case and upside down and looking at the back of the case, my master card has the crossfire port on it's right and I plugged into the slave card on the left. Your's should be the same. Also, go into you BIOS and set the second PCI-E channel to 4x and everything else there to auto....

Ok I marked your diagram with a yellow Xs, that is where the dongle needs to be attatched to the cards. MDiddy must have misinterpretted us. Looking at the back of the rig, correct meif I'm wrong but the dongle is connected to the(my) right side ports.
BTW that is a good diagram.

This is what CrossFire Enabled looks like in CCC.

Yep.. that's practically what mine looks like. Will you do me a favor and write down all your bios settings, and let me compare them to mine?

What motherboard do you have? I'd be glad to give you my bios settings, atleast under chipset*, because that's the only bios section that has anything to do with CrossFire. Under chipset*, the first section deals with DDR2 memory. Everything after the section break such as PEG link and slot power, all those settings are on AUTO.

Post a 3DMark 05 or 06 with performance driver settings and AI on Advanced, your CF setup looks fine to me.

Bestmax: Do what maxi suggested. Also what CPU are you running, and it CPU\GPU overclocked?
I've got to go to statistics class right now but I'll check back later!

Well for some reason i can't even finish 3dmark without crashing lol. I get the same FPS when crossfire is disabled and the second card is completely pulled out of the machine, so it's 100% not working.
No of course nothing is overclocked, i'm trying to eliminate all possibilities.

Put both cards in and run 3dmark 05, or 06 and show us the compare link so we can see what's going on here!

Actually Ranger, I DID mean the left DVI port. The original diagram is the way i have mine hooked up. I have to think where I saw it like that, but I did....

I ran X1800CF with the upper DVI (the one on the right in a case directly opposite the CF connector port) connector on the slave card. Thats the way I always saw it depicted, maybe it doesn't matter.
